XM307 Advanced Crew Served Weapon

XM307 Advanced Crew Weapon Servi (CCCF) was a development of 25 mm belt-fed Grenade Machine Gun with smart shell capability. This is the result of OCSW or project objectives Crew Served Weapon. It is lightweight and designed for both men and portable vehicle-mounted. The XM307 can kill or suppress the people out of 2000 meters (2187 feet), and destroy light armored vehicles, boats and helicopters to 1000 feet (1094 m). The project was canceled in 2007
he system was developed by General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products for the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and armaments Command (TACOM). As part of the Small Arms Master Plan (SAMP) program, intended to replace or supplement the MK19 grenade launcher and automatic weapons M2 heavy machinery. It takes 25 points mm ammunition and ordnance air burst style, including SE, and heat at a rate of 260 revolutions per minute and has an effective range of up to 2 km.

The main advantage of the recoil is mitigated XM307. The recoil gun control to the extent that a large tripod and heavy bags of sand is not necessary to make effective use of this weapon. Because it reduces the recoil momentum and the light, the other mounting options are possible, such as small vehicles and unmanned aircraft. The XM307 airburst rounds is much easier to bypass the walls to protect the enemies, which can cause injury if fired directly. They must not shoot through the wall, only a hole or on top to kill the people behind the door when the building is intact. XM307 has the added advantage that it can be converted to XM312, .50-caliber version of the infantry and light anti-armor support in less than two minutes (1 minute, 42 seconds).
